It is time that we care for All of Mother Earth's Nations
or The Human Nation will cease...

Our Little Sister has passed on

With bowed heads our little Sister we mourn
Though from our sight her visage may be torn
But my brethren we should not be so forlorn
For there never, ever has been a spirit born
Little Sister's Spirit can and will never cease
Her voice never breathless, our hearts to please
Birthless, Deathless and Changeless is that ecstasy
of the path upon the Medicine Wheel's new Journey...

Aho!

I give you this one thought to keep
I am with you still - I do not sleep.
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, my rewards I now reap.

Do not stand at my grave and sigh.
I am not there. I did not die.
Up in the deep blue sky, I am nigh
with the eagles near, I now fly.

There's a fact that you should know
I now fly with the Raven and Crow
I am all of the winds that blow,
I am the beauty within the rainbow.

For I am The Wren, Robin, Jay and Thrush
I'm their song heard in the morning's hush,
I am their beauty and colors so lush
I'm the plumage found in tree and brush.

I am the beauty of birds seen in flight.
I am the glorious stars seen at night.
I'm the beauty of Grandmother Moons light
And Grandfather Sun who shines so bright

Now shows my life within the ripened grain.
For now death is not my reward, nor my bane
I now live a life not imagined by any brain
I now sing the song of life in all refrain.
Where I walk I do not suffer your pain
please from grief you must now abstain
I did not die and my Spirit was not slain,
Where I roam The Great Spirit doth reign.

Do not think of me as being gone
I'm now Mother Earth's beauty and brawn
Never think my love has been withdrawn
for I am with you within each new dawn.

Miss Me -- But Let Me Go

When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room.
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little--but not too long
And not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love that we once shared,
Miss me--but let me go.
For this is a journey that we all must take
And each must go alone.
It's all a part of the Master's plan,
A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart
Go to the friends we know
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds.
Miss Me--But Let me Go!

Native American Prayer

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush...
of quiet birds in circled flight
I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there. I did not die...

Oh Great Spirit

Help deliver us from our disbelief and the pain of our separation.
When we are in pain, We have forgotten that you have cared for us.
We have forgotten that you have helped us through our many trials.
We have forgotten that you held us in your arms keeping us safe.
We have forgotten that you are feeling our pain with us.
We have forgotten that you have loved us,
We have forgotten that we are very important to you.
Show Us your presence - let Us feel your enveloping love.
Heal our hurting soul and cure our lack of belief.
Thank you for staying with us even in our disbelief...

Aho!

Native American Prayer

May Creator draw near to you at this time.
May you know His love, light, and peace as He guides
the hands of those who care for your body and health.
May you draw aid from our Mother Earth.
May you gain strength from the stones - which are her bones.
may you gain life from the sacred Waters - which is her blood.
may you gain power from the sacred Four Winds - which is her breath.
May the spirits of your ancestors and your guides and guardians
protect you and aid you with their songs of healing,
may you hear the healing beat of the drums
as the songs and prayers of your spiritual brothers and sisters
are carried up on the smoke of the sacred sage and tobacco
to the Great Spirit as we ask Creator to heal your body...

Aho!

Forgive Me

OH Great Spirit
From whom all things come, and to whom all things must return.
I come this day, before you, in body, mind and spirit.
Asking your forgiveness for my doubt and my fear
For a short while I forgot my pledge to follow Your Will,
Thus my promise to uphold the sanctity of Your Name
My promise to follow unquestionably your Path of Wisdom.
The Will, Name and Path, that I am eternally bound to..
This, by the Sacred Four Winds; My Mother Earth and Father Sky
By our Blessed Grand Mother Moon and Grand Father Sun
By all that is above me and below me, within me and without.
I thank You, for bringing me to my senses and allowing me to return.
O Great Spirit, My King of Creation, My Holy Mother and Stern Father,
I ask that You renew Your blessings of Faith, Love, Peace, Truth and Joy,
I look to You for the guidance and strength to do Your Will.
To accept whatever Path and Journey that you have now set for me...

Aho!

My Daily Prayer

Great Spirit
Grant me thy Blessings of Faith, Love, Peace, Truth and Joy,
That I may see the Devine in Nature and the Nature in the Devine
That I may see the divinity within myself and everyone else
For as it exists Above, May it exist Below
And may the Divinity of The One, be within All...

Aho!

by Jacqualine Williams Rippy

Oh Great Spirit Father, who sits on high beyond the heavens, Creator of all life below, please hear my spiritual prayer. For I seek guidance in a world where few can lay claim to eternal peace.
Grant me the vision to see beyond tomorrow's horizon, yet still accept my daily trials, that must and will be faced to survive. Give me the strength to rise each day and breathe the breath of life that you have provided for me.
Touch my spiritual soul, so that I may use every moment to spread your sacred message of love and peace for all mankind. I ask only the privilege to speak my native tongue, and learn the ways of my people, from generations of old.
Help me to understand and accept that we are of one body, and God, as each spirit flows, from one to another in a sacred hoop.
Let the trails that bore my ancestors blood and tears, and the Chains that bound their freedom serve as reminders to all, of our hate and savagery against one another, and ensure its trust that we as a people choose never to repeat such ignorance.
Grant Mother Earth the strength to endure all injustices that have been placed upon her, and cleanse her red clay body to renew her growth for new generations to thrive.
Shelter, clothe, and feed the masses, for all owe you their daily prayers. Embrace my mind and grant me the wisdom to seek and receive my ancestral birthright.
Guide my feet down the passage of forgiveness, of those who have severed my tribal ties, and help me to bind them once more.
Teach this child, oh Great One, the true lesson of life, its sacred message of love, to spread freely beyond self, and among my brothers and sisters throughout the duration of my earthly existence.
May your morning sun awaken this weary body, and your night Moon allow it to meditate and rest. May your spirit continue to heal and instill within me the meaning of this spiritual prayer, and trust that I use it to serve you well.

Shamic Prayer

O Lord
Grant thy protection,
And in protection, strength;
And in strength, understanding;
And in understanding, knowledge;
And in knowledge, the knowledge of justice;
And in the knowledge of justice, the love of it;
And in that love, the love of all existences;
And in the love of all existences,
the love of The Lord
and Her Greatest Blessing ~ Life.

Great Spirit Protect Us

Great Spirit, give us hearts to understand;
never to take from creation's beauty more than we give;
never to destroy wantonly for the furtherance of greed;
never to deny to give our hands for the building of earth's beauty;
never to take from her what we cannot use.

Great Spirit, Give us minds to understand
that to destroy earth's music is to create confusion;
that to wreck her appearance is to blind us to beauty;
that to callously pollute her fragrance is to make a house of stench;
that as we care for her she will care for us.

Great Spirit, allow our hearts and minds to realyze that
We have forgotten who we are.
We have sought only our own security.
We have exploited simply for our own ends.
We have distorted our knowledge.
We have abused our power.

Great Spirit, whose dry lands thirst,
help us to find the way to refresh your lands.
Great Spirit, whose waters are choked with debris and pollution,
help us to find the way to cleanse your waters.
Great Spirit, whose beautiful earth grows ugly with misuse,
help us to find the way to restore beauty to your handiwork.
Great Spirit, whose creatures are being destroyed,
help us to find a way to replenish them.
Great Spirit, whose gifts to us are being lost in selfishness and corruption,
help us to find the way to restore our humanity and heritage.

For it is Still a Beautiful World

Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly, and listen to others;
even the dull and the ignorant; for they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons; for they are a vexation to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter,
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery;
but let this not blind you to what virtues there may be.
Many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere Life is full of heroism.
Be yourself; especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love, for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment,
it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of your youth.
Nurture the strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune;
but do not distress yourself with wild imaginings;
many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.
For You are a child of this Universe, no less or more than any other creature,
And like the dirt under your feet and the stars above your head;
you have the given right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the Universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore, be at peace with your God,
and whatever your labours and aspirations in this noisy confusion called Life,
keep peace with your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.
Be joyful; and strive to be happy with yourself.

Oh, Great Spirit

Oh, Great Spirit, whose voice I hear in the wind,
Whose breath gives life to all the world.

Hear me...

I need your strength and wisdom.
Let me walk in beauty, and make my eyes ever behold the red and purple sunset.
Make my hands respect the things you have made and my ears sharp to hear your voice.
Make me wise so that I may understand the things you have taught my people.
Help me to remain calm and strong in the face of all that comes towards me.
Let me learn the lessons you have hidden in every leaf, twig and rock.
Help me seek pure thoughts and act with the intention of helping others.
Help me find compassion without empathy overwhelming me.
I seek strength, not to be greater than my brother or sister, but to fight my greatest enemy:

~ Myself.

Make me always ready to come to you with clean hands and straight eyes.
So when life fades, as the fading sunset, my spirit may come to you without shame... "
O Great Spirit manifested in all things As the infinite intelligence of the Universe,

The one God of all religions Called by so many names,

Bring our hearts together in peace, So we may realize that all things Are connected through You;
Remove our fear, So we may see the true meaning And purpose of our existence;
Fill our souls with Your spirit So we may join together With all loving beings
To bring peace and joy To all the world According to Your plan So thy will be done.

For in tears I cry, Peace... Peace... Peace...

Great Spirit Help Me

O Great Spirit, who art before all else and who
dwells in every object, in every person and in every
place, we cry unto Thee. We summon Thee from the
far places into our present awareness.

O Great Spirit of the North, who gives wings
to the waters of the air and rolls the thick snowstorm
before Thee, Who covers the Earth with a sparkling crystal
carpet above whose deep tranquillity every sound
is beautiful. Temper us with strength to withstand the
biting blizzards, yet make us thankful for the beauty which
follows and lies deep over the warm Earth in its wake.

O Great Spirit of the East, the land of the rising Sun,
Who holds in Your right hand the years of our lives and
in Your left the opportunities of each day. Brace us that
we may not neglect our gifts nor lose in laziness the
hopes of each day and the hopes of each year.

O Great Spirit of the South, whose warm breath of compassion
melts the ice that gathers round our hearts, whose fragrance
speaks of distant springs and summer days, dissolve our fears,
melt our hatreds, kindle our love into flames of true and
living realities. Teach us that he who is truly strong is
also kind, he who is wise tempers justice with mercy, he who
is truly brave matches courage with compassion.

O Great Spirit of the West, the land of the setting Sun,
with Your soaring mountains and free, wide rolling prairies,
bless us with knowledge of the peace which follows purity of
striving and the freedom which follows like a flowing robe in
the winds of a well-disciplined life. Teach us that the
end is better than the beginning and that the
setting sun glorifies not in vain.

O Great Spirit of the heavens, in the day's infinite blue
and amid the countless stars of the night season, remind
us that you are vast, that you are beautiful and majestic
beyond all of our knowing or telling, but also that you
are no further from us than the tilting upwards of
our heads and the raising of our eyes.

O Great Spirit of Mother Earth beneath our feet,
Master of metals, Germinator of seeds and the Storer of
the Earth's unreckoned resources, help us to give thanks
unceasingly for Your present bounty.

O Great Spirit of our souls, burning in our heart's
yearning and in our innermost aspirations, speak to us now
and always so that we may be aware of the greatness and
goodness of Your gift of life and be worthy of this
priceless privilege of living within thy realm.

My Prayer of Thanksgiving

O Wondrous Earth, Sustainer of Life and Mother of all Mankind!
We humbly thank Thee for all the blessings Thou hast bestowed;
For the rich dark soil from which we are nourished;
For the hard grey rock with and upon which we build;
For the garments of green with which we are surrounded;
For the bountiful harvest by which thou doth norished us;
For the faithfulness and fidelity with which we are cherished;
For the body and health that thou hast provided for our abode;
For the companionship and comradery of all thy creatures;
For Thy everlasting Loving, caring, sustaining presence.
For the tears that art shed to norish the Nations of Thy Realm
Wherein We quest and seek to become one with Thy Being;
Within that Spirit which is clothed with the Form of this, thy earth.
Of the plants, of the trees, of all that craw, creep, run and fly.
We seek communion with the host of spirits that serve Thee;
That honor You and tend Your Garden with such rich and loving care.
We seek to share in that infinite Love that You bestow upon thy children.
O Wondrous Earth, blessed art we in Thy glorious manifestations.

Great Spirit Forgive Us

May the gentle winds of Father Sky
cool, comfort and caress your soul.
May Grandfather Sun's gentle warmth
enfold, comfort and warm your heart.
May Grandmother Moon's silvery light
sooth, quicken and mellow your dreams
May the nurturing powers of Mother Earth
heal and strengthen your mind and body.
May the Spirits of Nature's Nation and Realm
grant us the comfort and solace
that we so desperately desire.
And may The Great Spirit forgive
and then comfort Us All...

Where Is My Havin

I am Wamduskasapa who is also known as Black Snake.
Oh Great Spirit is this loss of our humanity and heritage a mistake?
In my heart I am an Indian, whose people were once Free.
But in this crazy world, that is no longer a possibility.
I follow the edicts of Grand Father Sun and Mother Earth
why have you forsaken this, the land of my birth?
Great Grand Mother Moon and Sacred Father Sky
can you tell me where I have gone wrong, and why?
The four of you have Guided me through out my day,
But, somehow, In this wild world, I have lost my way.
I practice the Sacred Rite of The Smudge as often as I can
That Sacred Smoke given to the Four Wind since time began
That Smoke which carries my words to the Great Spirits Ear
Hoping, praying that our thoughts and wishes he should hear
Oh Great Spirits, both far and wide,
Please come to me, and be my guide.
Take me, mold me, I am at your command
make of me an Indian worthy of this Land
able to roam in a world that is wild and free.
Where for me happiness shalt always be.
